West Dearborn Combination Sewer Overflow (CSO) Control Project, Phase B - Contract No. 8   Contract No. 8 consists of the construction of a treatment shaft. The Treatment Shaft will consist of a 104 foot diameter shaft constructed as a sinking circular caisson with 7.5 foot thick walls embedded approximately 45 feet into the bedrock formation. The project also includes a box sewer, junction structures, tunneling, a soil and rock grouting program and a control building to house chemical storage tanks and associated controls. The Treatment Shaft is located to the north of the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Military Street in Dearborn, Michigan adjacent to the Rouge River.
