The Design-Build services for new gravity sewer interceptors supporting Master Pump Station No. 3 include engineering, design, permitting, inspection, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning. The project features approximately 600 linear feet of 54-inch micro-tunneled sewer along S.W. 11 Street from S.W. 2 Avenue to the pump station; 2,400 linear feet of 48-inch micro-tunneled sewer along S.W. 2 Avenue and S.W. 13 Street from S.W. 11 Street to Brickel Avenue; 1,400 linear feet of 48-inch micro-tunneled sewer along S.W. 2 Avenue from S.W. 7 Street to S.W. 11 Street; and 700 linear feet of 30-inch micro-tunneled sewer along S.W. 8 Street from S.W. 1 Avenue to S.W. 2 Avenue. These tunnels, averaging 35 feet below sea level, utilize 48-inch polycrete jack pipe for durability and structural integrity. The project also includes one steel sheeting and drilled foundation (30 feet deep), one 20-30 foot deep drilled shaft, and one 25-foot diameter, 35-foot deep shaft constructed with 42-inch secant piles.
