The project entails the installation of a new 36-inch Raw Water Intake, which includes redesigning the intake tunnel and structures, installing 3,947 LF within a 60-inch micro-tunnel using steel end ring reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), connecting a 60-inch steel end ring to the primary liner, constructing a 24-foot diameter cofferdam and intake structure, installing an inspection access manhole with a capacity of 2,200 cubic feet into the lake, building two cast-in-place (CIP) concrete structures with service gates on land, installing chemical lines from the shore to the intake structures, using sheet piling for shaft construction, and setting a World Record for the longest 60-inch/1,524 mm microtunnel drive at 3,947 linear feet.
